You get good prices and discounts. The downside is you are often locked into using only their preferred suppliers, which may not suit your canteen.
Larger schools can usually negotiate just as good a discount without being locked in. Your suppliers should be the suppliers best for your particular school in your particular area. This should be done per year as a minimum and if you make a change.
