What are the benefits of buying groups?

Rating: +0

Positive Negative

You get good prices and discounts. The downside is you are often locked into using only their preferred suppliers, which may not suit your canteen.

Larger schools can usually negotiate just as good a discount without being locked in. Your suppliers should be the suppliers best for your particular school in your particular area. See fact sheet on the resources page for further info on supplier relationship management. Don’t forget which suppliers you are using need to be endorsed at your P&C or P&F meeting. This should be done per year as a minimum and if you make a change.
